GSP’s executive management is accountable for the improvement of the working environment & culture, the ethical management of the business, and the strengthening & enlargement of the company customer base.

  • GABRIEL VALENTIN COMANESCU

    Chief Executive Officer

    Mr. Comanescu established Grup Servicii Petroliere in 2004 and has served as President of the Board ever since. He was appointed CEO in July 2012. Mr. Comanescu entered the Romanian Commercial Navy in 1988, as electrical officer. 1992 marks his involvement in the general trading business and 1995 the establishment of the first oil service trading company, involved in oilfield equipment and spare parts supply. He has held executive positions in various companies activating in the oil & gas industry. Since 2005, he serves as President of Upetrom Group, an integrated group of companies with activities in offshore drilling and construction, well intervention services, subsea services, hydro-technical construction, training, engineering, shipping, oilfield equipment production, as well as in the tourism sector. Mr. Comanescu has a degree in Naval Electromechanical Engineering from the “Mircea cel Batran” Naval Academy, Constanta. He is a Romanian citizen.

  • FANEL HAHUI

    Fanel HahuiDeputy Chief Executive Officer

    Mr. Hahui was appointed Deputy Chief Executive Officer in April 2014. He has held various executive management positions since joining GSP in 2005 (CEO and COO). In 2000 he was appointed Deputy Engineering Manager at Petromar, the Constanta branch of Petrom. For other four years, Mr. Hahui held the Executive Manager position within a newly established privately owned offshore oil company. Prior to joining Grup Servicii Petroliere (GSP), he has worked more than 23 years in various positions in the offshore oil and gas industry both for Romanian and multinational companies. Mr. Hahui has a degree in Engineering from the Polytechnic Institute, Faculty of Mechanics, Bucharest and a Masters degree in Oil and Gas Management from the Petroleum & Gas University, Ploieşti . Mr. Hahui is a Romanian citizen and he resides in Constanta.

  • MIHAI BRATU

    Mihai Bratu webChief Financial Officer 

    Mr. Bratu was appointed Chief Financial Officer in 2005.

    Mr. Bratu joined GSP in 2004 as the Head of Economical Office. He started working as an economist within Petromar, the Constanta branch of Petrom.

    Mr. Bratu has a diploma in Economical Sciences, Finance and Marketing from the Faculty of Economical Sciences within Ovidius University, Constanta, Romania.

     

  • CONSTANTIN GHEORGHE

    Constantin GheorgheCorporate Chief HSEQ Officer

    Mr. Constantin Gheorghe possesses a solid background in the oil & gas field, starting as a drilling engineer and going up to the position of rig OIM for approximate 16 years for various local and international oil & gas companies (Petrom, Enterprise Oil, Baker Hughes Inteq), both onshore and offshore. Starting 2000, Mr. Gheorghe has moved to the HSE field and has worked for five years as HSE Supervisor onboard the D/S Saipem 10000. In 2005, he was appointed as HSE Manager for Saipem Drilling North Africa. Mr. Gheorghe has joined GSP in 2006 as Chief HSEQ Officer & Company DPA, having the main responsibility to develop and implement a strong HSEQ Management System throughout the company.  Under his coordination, the company`s HSEQ Management System quality has been accepted and recognized by various international agencies and classification societies as well as by all the Company’s Clients. Starting mid-2013, Mr. Gheorghe was appointed as Corporate Chief HSEQ Officer. He took office again in March 2016, after completing an eight months CEO HSE Compliance Advisor mandate. In September 2014, Mr. Gheorghe has been included in the Group of Initiative established by the Government of Romania for the transposition of the new EU Offshore Safety Directive and, in February 2015, he’s been nominated by the Romanian Government as the Technical Expert to represent Romania in the EU Offshore Safety Committee for the transposition of the new Offshore Safety Directive. Mr. Gheorghe is a Member of IWCF European Branch Committee.

  • ANDREEA GARTONE LAMUREANU

    Andreea Lamureanu-GartoneCorporate Supply Chain Chief Officer

    Mrs. Andreea Gartone-Lamureanu was appointed Corporate Supply Chain Chief Officer in March 2015. She organizes and coordinates GSP’s procurement, warehousing, logistics and customs operations.

    Mrs. Lamureanu has previously held the Procurement Manager position within GSP. She started her career in GSP in January 2006 as a procurement officer.

    Starting with 2008, Mrs. Lamureanu has been involved in all the major investment, upgrade, refit, reclassification, and new-build projects the company carried out: GSP Atlas, GSP Jupiter, GSP Saturn, GSP Bigfoot 1 new build and upgrade, GSP Uranus.

    Being with GSP for a decade, Mrs. Lamureanu likes to say she grew her entire career within GSP, all her relevant professional progress being acquired here. Between 2010 and 2011, Mrs. Lamureanu has laid the foundation of the procurement activities within GSP Shipyard where she was appointed Procurement Manager.

    Mrs. Lamureanu graduated the Faculty of Economic Sciences within the Ovidius University in Constanta. She holds a Bachelor degree in International Affairs (2004), and a Master’s degree in Iternational Business Administration (2006).

    Mr. Lamureanu also holds an MBA degree from DeSales University, Pennsylvania.

  • RADU PETRESCU

    Chief Communications Officer

    Mr. Petrescu was appointed Chief Communications Officer in 2005 and is responsible for GSP`s global communications strategies.

    Mr. Petrescu oversees the company’s external and internal communications functions,  including corporate communications, marketing communications and media relations. He also serves as the company`s spokesperson.

    Prior to joining GSP, Mr. Petrescu held similar positions in various companies and  worked as a Political Consultant within the Center for Political Studies and Comparative Analysis (CPSCA).

    Mr. Petrescu holds a BA in Political Science from the University of Bucharest, as well as an MBA degree from the DeSales University, Pennsylvania.

    Mr. Petrescu is a Romanian citizen and he resides in Bucharest.

  • BOGDAN EUGENIU DRAGOI

    BogdanDragoi webCorporate Asset Integrity Officer

    Mr. Bogdan Eugeniu Dragoi was appointed Corporate Asset Integrity Officer in May 2015.

    Prior to this, Mr. Dragoi has held the Project Manager position within GSP, being in charge of several engineering, newbuild and upgrading projects: GSP Bigfoot 1 upgrading into DP2 pipe lay barge, GSP Venus DP3 Drilling Ship, currently under design and GSP Caspian Drilling Barge, modular drilling barge for Caspian Sea.

    Being with GSP since 2008, he started as Project Engineer. Mr. Dragoi has started his career in engineering as Structural Designer at the Constanta Shipyard.

    Mr. Dragoi holds a Bachelor’s degree in Naval Architecture from the Ovidius University in Constanta (2002 – 2007) and a degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Université de Bourgogne (2004-2005).

  • BENOIT CARAYOL

    Senior Vice-President, Deputy Chief Executive Officer

    Mr. Benoit Carayol has joined in November 2012 GSP’s Board of Directors, as Drilling Managing Director.  He was appointed Senior VP & Deputy CEO in 2016. He has previously worked 15 years for Forame/Pride International and 4 years within KS Drilling. He developed his managerial skills in SPS and turnkey wells Project Management. His experience includes a wide span of managerial positions in Operations & Project Management, Onshore and Offshore experience, Branch Management, from drilling and tender assisted rigs, semi-submersibles and deepwater drill ships to site management. Mr. Carayol has also held the position of Profit Center Manager within Pride International. Starting with 2008 he has held the Vice President Operations at Atlantic Oilfield Services until 2010, when he was nominated Chief Operations Officer at KS Drilling, being responsible for the ongoing company business and implementation of procedures. Mr. Carayol has considerable management experience in drilling, domain he embraced immediately after graduating from “Ecole nationale supérieure d’Arts et Métiers” in 1993. He holds a MS degree in Mechanical Engineering from the ENSAM Paris.

  • VASILE RACEANU

    Vasile RaceanuExecutive Officer, Naval Department

    Mr. Raceanu was appointed Executive Officer of the Naval Department in 2008. From 2005 to 2008 he was the lead auditor for management systems within GL – ESE.

    Mr. Răceanu entered the Romanian Commercial Navy in 1975, occupying various positions until becoming Head of operation department of Navrom, Constanta. Prior to joining GSP, he held various managerial positions within privately owned companies, both in the naval services and ISM Code and ISO standards consultancy.

    Mr. Raceanu graduated the Naval Institute, Constanta, becoming Deck Officer on sea going vessels in 1975. In 1981 he was certified Sea Captain by the Romanian Naval Authority. Specializing in management systems, he received the Lead Auditor certification  from Germanisher Lloyd  for the management systems – ISO 9001, ISO 14001, OHSAS, FSR (TAPA) within GL – ESE. Mr. Raceanu is a Romanian citizen and he resides in Constanta.

  • MIHAI CARLAN

    Chief Offshore Construction Officer

    Mr. Carlan joined in 2008 GSP’s team after holding several managerial positions within Petromar, where he entered in 1987 as production engineer further advancing in his career to positions such as O.I.M.-Offshore Installation Manager, Head of Production Department, Deputy General Manager. Mr. Carlan has also occupied the position of Field Production Manager for White Nile (5a) Petroleum Operating Company Ltd.  – Sudan Oil and Gas Onshore Company.  Mr. Carlan set up the GSP’s offshore constructions department, coordinating at the moment the onshore fabrication activities, the offshore construction operations within the current projects. Mr. Carlan has a diploma in drilling and production wells engineering, graduating the University of Petroleum Engineering Ploiesti. He also attended a series of training and specialization courses in the offshore construction, safety systems of the technological equipments, process management, in France, Italy, U.K., The Netherlands, and Canada. He is a Romanian citizen residing in Constanta.
