GSP announces commencement of the North Sea drilling operations

GSP Saturn innitiates today, the 6th of June, the drilling operations in the North Sea under the contract with Wintershall Noordzee B.V..
The moving operation started on the 4th of June, the offshore mobile rig being positioned above the first work location on the 5th of June, 19:45 hours. GSP Saturn will operate under the current contract for an initial 12 months interval.
GSP concluded in 2009 an extensive upgrade and reclassification project of the rig with a budget of approximately 70 USD mil. The scope of work consisted in improving the platform technical specification and class recertification, the rig productivity increasing with 67%.
