GSP Saturn reached drilling location in Pechora Sea

GSP Saturn has completed the mobilization phase and reached the drilling location, 75 km offshore the Russian coast.
The Rig will operate for Gazprom Neft under a two years contract. The first well to be spud is the North-Dolginskaya No3 well on the Dolginskoye oil field. The exploration well results will be crucial for Gazprom Neft arctic, allowing the client to further investigate the field’s geological structure.
GSP Saturn headed towards the European high north, the rig being dry-towed on deck of the heavy lift vessel XIA ZHI YUAN 6 of COSCOHT. GSP’s MODU will provide offshore drilling services in Pechora Sea, in the south eastern part of the Barents Sea, under a two year contract with Gazpromneft-Sakhalin for drilling operations in the Russian Arctic continental shelf. Prior to this contract GSP Saturn carried out operations in the North Sea for Wintershall and then undergone an extensive preparation phase.
