GSP 31, the self contained modular drilling rig is transported towards the Akcakoca platform in order to start the drilling campaign

GSP 31 was loaded out onboard the semi-submersible barge GSP Bigfoot 2 and left Constanta Nord –Midia Port heading to the Akcakoca perimeter in the Turkish national waters. The installation operation of the rig onboard the platform shall be performed by GSP Neptun, the 1800 tons floating crane.

The self contained modular drilling rig shall start the offshore drilling program by performing the tie-back of the two already existing wells.

According to the contract, GSP 31 will also drill 2 firm (+ 1 optional) wells, as requested by the client, TPAO, in order to develop the Akcakoca natural gas reserve, in western Black Sea.

GSP 31, the self contained modular drilling rig will be assisted during the drilling operations by GSP Bigfoot 3, the offshore heavy lift, work and accommodation barge and the offshore support vessels GSP Queen, AHTS and GSP Licorn, PSV.
