GSP invested 10 million US dollars for the acquisition and development of the new production facility in Constanta Sud – Agigea port in order to transform it in the Black Sea offshore construction turning point

The 38.600 m2 port facility area with a 372 meters long quay opening in Constanta Sud – is the third GSP production facility designed for offshore construction activities.

The investment of 10 million dollars is entirely financed from GSP’s own funds.

GSP’s port facility includes a 700 m2 administrative building, a 2720 m2 multipurpose workshop, a heavy duty opened platform as well as the necessary infrastructure and utilities allowing GSP to perform extended offshore prefabrication and construction works on the new location.

The administrative building includes 17 offices, a conference hall, as well as a fully equipped hospital and modern social facilities. The multipurpose workshop will be equipped with two 20 + 5 tons gantries running on a range of 130 meters. The shipyard operations will be sustained by five Liebherr crawler cranes (1X200 tons, 1X280 tons, 3X300 tons), modern welding stations.

Operations on GSP Shipyard begin with the EPIC (Engineering, Procurement, Installation and Construction) project awarded by TPAO, the Turkish National Oil and Gas Company. The project includes one 1600 tons welded steel jacket, and 1400 tons welded double deck top side representing the second development phase of Akcakoca natural gas field.
