New heavy lift operation successfully completed by GSP Shipyard

GSP Shipyard completed a new heavy lift operation with the simultaneous support of two heavy lift cranes in its facility in Midia Port.

Two LR 1300 crawler cranes were mobilized and performed a complex heavy lift operation of a 100 tons and 17 meters long project cargo worth approximately 1 USD mil. The equipment is part of a local refinery processing capacity enhancement project.

The 100 tons oil plant unit was shipped from Constanta Shipyard to Midia Port where the heavy machinery department executed the transfer of the equipment from the vessel on a trailer 24 meters long.

The engineering of the lifting operation was part of the heavy lift project service. The operation was completed with the highest regard to all safety and environmental aspects according to the initial plan.
